CARL RITTER Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ritter co-founded Carbiz, leading an acquisition strategy to consolidate 11 competitive businesses in the United States and Canada. The resulting company is a dominant software provider in the North American automotive dealer market. Mr. Ritter also led the successful launch of the company’s retail auto finance division in 2004. He has extensive experience in the retail automotive industry, operating several dealerships as president and dealer principal, and serving in senior management positions in the industry in Canada

ROSS RICHARD LYE President, Director

Mr. Lye co-founded Carbiz and leads the company’s highly successful data analysis and consulting operations, as well as the fast-growing Carbiz Auto Credit division. With more than 25 years of experience in the North American retail automotive business,
Mr. Lye is a respected industry expert particularly in the buy-here, pay-here sector. He is a graduate of the NADA Dealer Academy and held several senior management positions in the retail automotive business in Canada.

STANTON HEINTZ Chief Financial Officer, Director

Mr. Heintz oversees the financial and reporting processes for the company. Mr. Heintz has held the position of chief operating officer since 2003 and previously was vice president since joining the company in 2000. Mr. Heintz was voted in as a director and joined the board on July 20, 2006 at the company's annual general meeting. Mr. Heintz served the automotive finance industry for more than 30 years in programming and sales positions with international firms and his own software business.

ROSS QUIGLEY Director

Mr. Quigley is the chief executive officer of several privately held companies based in Ontario, Canada, that are involved in the administration, marketing and distribution of financial services.

TED POPEL Chairman, Audit Committee, Director

Mr. Popel was an early investor in Carbiz and brings to the company's board a keen ability to identify and evaluate risk based on more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is vice president of insurance operations for an Ontario-based financial services firm.

CHRISTOPHER BRADBURY Director

Mr. Bradbury is the President of a private marketing and communications firm located in Toronto, Canada, and Tampa, Florida. The firm’s initiatives include the production of senior shows and events throughout Canada and the United States and publication of a magazine and promotional packages for the financial services industry.
Mr. Bradbury is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and has held a significant position in Carbiz since its inception.

WALLACE WEYLIE Director

Mr. Weylie has been a director of Carbiz since July 2006. Mr. Weylie is semi-retired after 45 years in the private practice of immigration law and also serves as the General Counsel for the Canadian Snowbird Association. Mr. Weylie is a graduate of Osgood Hall Law School and the University of Detroit Law School and is a Member of the Bar of Ontario and Florida.

GENE TOMSIC Director

Following graduation in 1967 with a B.A. degree (Economics) from Columbia University in New York City, Gene entered the Naval OCS program and served as a Lieutenant (jg) with the U.S. Navy / Marine Corps for approximately 4 years. He began his business career with an international insurance company in its Chicago office and was later transferred to the company's Toronto location. He later moved on to a Canadian insurance brokerage firm where he rose to the level of Vice President – Employee Benefits. After five years in this capacity, he left the firm to start up his own employee benefits consulting practice – Gene Tomsic Insurance Agencies Inc – which he continues to direct today. As well, Gene is a founding partner of Telepoll Canada Inc, an independent data collection company serving the market research industry.

VERN HAVERSTOCK Director

Mr Haverstock is the Regional Manager of a privately owned Canadian Insurance Company operating in Atlantic Canada. A former Vice President of Carbiz Inc (1999 - 2001) Mr. Haverstock is a graduate of Saint Mary's University in Halifax N.S. (B.Com) and has worked in the Finance and Insurance sector of the Auto Industry for the past 33 years.

JENNIFER HALLORAN Vice President of Finance

Mrs. Halloran is responsible for accounting, human resource administration and administrative operations. Before joining Carbiz, she served as general manager for a national food service company.

JENNIFER DOWNEY Software Operations Manager

Mrs. Downey manages development and technical support for Management System Plus (MSP), the company’s buy-here, pay-here dealership management application. Previously, as Citrix administrator, Ms. Downey helped develop the web-based solution for Carbiz software. Her qualifications include designation as a web developer and extensive technical skills in a range of development applications.

MIKE DOWNEY Business Development Manager

Mr. Downey manages development and technical support for VisualCAT (VCAT), the company’s finance and insurance and leasing software. He also participates in the MSP development team. Mr. Downey possesses extensive technical skills, including such development applications as Borland Delphi and Visual Basic.

VIRGINIA WITTER Quality Control Manager

Ms. Witter co-manages development and technical support for Independent Dealer Accounting and is senior developer for the Gold Key software program. Ms. Witter has developed a number of automotive software programs designed for inventory management, finance and insurance, custom check writing, accounting, collections and deal tracking. Her expertise extends to training and consulting where she applies extensive knowledge in dealership operations.
